Welcome to Woodland Juniors Volleyball Club!
We are excited to continue providing a local opportunity for youth within our community to learn the skills needed to succeed and grow in volleyball! Our athletes will continue to build their volleyball skill set and knowledge while competing in CEVA Power Leagues in addition to local practices and tournaments. Our mission is to provide a safe environment for young athletes to develop strong fundamentals while fostering a love of the game. We are dedicated to providing an affordable club with high quality coaches. We are thrilled to provide this opportunity to grow the game of volleyball within our community!
OUR STAFF
Danielle Hutton - Club Director
Danielle is the former Head Volleyball Coach at Woodland High School where she coached for 6 years. Prior to becoming a head coach, she was an assistant coach at Mark Morris High School, Kelso High School, and Mt. Solo Middle School. She has also coached club at the 14u, 16u, and 18u levels and has over 10 years of coaching experience. During her time with WHS, Danielle coached her team to a league championship, two 2nd place district finishes, and a 6th place state finish. She was the 2A Coach of the Year in 2018 and in 2021 was recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as one of the top 30 coaches in the nation under 30 years old, receiving the Thirty Under 30 award. Danielle has coached multiple record breaking athletes, all-league and all-state athletes, WIAA and AVCA Athletes of the Week, an Under Armour All American, and Gatorade Player of the Year.
Rebecca Clark - 16-1 Head Coach
This is Rebecca's second season as a head coach for Woodland Juniors. Rebecca is a 2009 graduate of Mark Morris High School and an alumni of Blue Mountain Community College and Eastern Oregon University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness. During her playing career, Rebecca was an AVCA 1st Team All-American and was named NWAAC Tournament MVP and led her team to win their first NWAC Championship. In 2011 while attending Eastern Oregon University Rebecca was named 1st Team All-League and New Comer of the Year. Rebecca acted as Assistant Coach for the Blue Mountain Community College volleyball team in 2012. She later returned to Mark Morris in 2015 as the head volleyball coach where she coached for 3 years.
Aunica Rybar - 16-1 Assistant Coach
Aunica is a 2017 graduate from Mark Morris High School and an alumni of California Polytechnic State University, where she obtained Bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology. In addition to eight seasons of club, she played four years of varsity volleyball under the guidance of coaches Rebecca Clark and Marcy Gilchrist. During her high school career, Aunica was twice-named GSHL 1st Team All-League, All-Area Honorable Mention, and 1st Team All-Area. She has since remained involved in the sport by assistant-coaching various youth teams, and has continued to play competitively in both beach and indoor leagues along the west coast.
Kiana Scott - 16-1 Assistant Coach
Kiana is also a 2017 graduate from Mark Morris High School where she was a member of the Varsity Volleyball Team and was named 1st Team All League as an Outside Hitter. After high school, Kiana continued her volleyball career at Blue Mountain as well as Lower Columbia College. Kiana is excited to begin her coaching career along side her former high school coach, Rebecca Clark.
Jayden Foster - 14-1 Head Coach
Jayden is a 2020 graduate from Columbia River High School where she helped lead her team to a district championship and two state finishes. She is currently playing her third year at Lower Columbia College where she is receiving her associates degree. During her playing career, Jayden has been selected 1st Team All Region - Middle Blocker and Offensive Player of the Week multiple times. She is looking forward to beginning her coaching career this year with Woodland Juniors.
Olivia Kelzenberg - 14-1 Assistant Coach
Olivia graduated from Diamond High School in Anchorage, Alaska where she helped lead her team to a Regional Championship and make it to the 4A state tournament in 2019 (placing 3rd) and 2020. She has previously coached 13u and 14u teams at her local Midnight Sun Volleyball Club in Anchorage. For the past two years, Olivia has played volleyball for Lower Columbia College. We're excited to have Liv join our coaching staff!
Kari Hislop - 14-2 Head Coach
Kari is a 2006 graduate of RAL High School. She has spent many years traveling the US playing club volleyball with top athletes. Kari has been a team captain, an all league athlete, as well as receiving the prestigous US Marine Corp Distinguished Athlete Award. She continued her playing career at Lower Columbia College and then attended the University of Washington. Kari has taken time off the court to establish a career in nursing and have a family but she is excited to be back in the gym to help athlete's learn the fundamentals of volleyball and share the love of this sport.
Katie Guerrero - 14-2 Assistant Coach
This is Katie's second season with Woodland Juniors as one of our 14s coaches. Her playing career began in 4th grade with Cowlitz Volleyball Club and continued through high school where she played for RAL, graduating in 2010. She continued her schooling at Lower Columbia College, earning a degree in Allied Science and is currently a Medical Assistant.
